Going to USA in h1b with Sal:95k

Is it wise to leave to USA now for a salary of 95k per annum, everyone are saying that I should take the opportunity and leave to us and switch company once I go there for better salary….I am currently working for a startup with overall 10+ yrs of experience in to java back end development …not much saving though and one home loan running …thinking of taking the opportunity to make more money …I am making here close to 50lpa…pls advise

In terms of Money, I believe if you have the skills, negotiate better. If it's 10+ relevant years of experience, this salary is lowest. Not even freshers get that salary. Hence, I might suggest better to stay in India or if you think you have it in you, get atleast 7x of that offer

Basically this is a consultancy …they take a cut on my salary …I am thinking of switching from there after 2-3 months for a better pay..many friends said that 150k will be decent pay…I am more worried abt market and recession…looks like there are very less calls now a days.

Don't believe that. There is and always will be shortage of skilled people

50lpa to 95k would be a major downgrade unless you’re moving to Colorado or something haha

Doesn't make sense man.

You will regret it. 150k+ pe the decision "might" make financial sense.

Bruh, an entry level Masters grad would make more than this at a HCOL/MCOL area.

Do some DnD and figure.

With 10 YoE atleast try for 150k-200k, 95k is such a ripoff.
