Given a choice that you can stay anywhere, would you choose Bangalore?
Let's face it, bangalore is expensive, in terms of value for money. There are so many infrastructure issues. Travel issues etc
But at the same time, Bangalore is the major leagues for tech in India. Events, meetups, startups all are prevalent mostly in Bangalore.
Given all this, and having a choice on where you wanna stay, what would you choose?

I'm in Gurgaon and traffic is bad, but can never be as bad as Bangalore.

Some wouldn't. Nomadic life is for loners. You won't get to have stable life of friends, relationships etc. You'll constantly be moving around exploring world. You'll make ton of acquaintances but not enough friends. Do you think everyone would prefer that?
I have been in Bangalore 3 times, with some gaps in each visit.
The First time I lived there, I was an intern with nothing to lose. I dreamt to leave Pune and prove that I was worth something. All the other factors did not matter. Lived a frugal life. It was great.
Second time, I lived for 2 years. Including a major chunk of lockdown. Felt like I was living the life. The food was affordable, you could get a meal for 200 easily, no matter what. The places I hung out were affordable, and welcoming. There was no animosity for an outsider, because we were suffering under a common plague. It was worth living there.
The third time was recently for a conference and project, when everything had opened up. And this time I hated it. There was a rush to fleece you from every direction. You felt unwelcome. Good Haunts were there no more. A cake which cost me 400 was now 750-900. It became unaffordable for middle classes, your origin was no bar.
It was not the Bangalore I know.
I understand the anger within original dwellers.
For the people who have lived there for decades, it changed up so fast, it is not the city they know anymore.
So yeah, it became a city of dreams too fast for far too many.
I would not like to go to Bangalore to settle.
It is better to settle down in your home town after working in all major cities to weigh your choices and rid your FOMO.

I don't know. I don't have any specific talents or backing for me to be able to migrate anywhere outside India, for now. I would like to go EU, but more central or eastern European.
I would like to go to a place with a soul. People who believe in what they create, and but their soul in it. People who have genuinely struggled to be what they are today.
That creates great Products that I can work with :)

Never. If I can stay anywhere, I choose my hometown. Close to/with family, also much more affordable.
If the choice not "anywhere", but only the major cities, I would choose NCR. After that every other option available before Bengaluru.
And if the only choice left is Bangalore, I might consider a career change first.
