If anyone tells you otherwise, stay away from them in your journey! Drawing a minimum salary irrespective of what stage you're in is paramount to your mental peace and your ability to at least tackle your basic needs without having to worry much!
You can't build if all you're thinking about is will you be able to afford your next meal or take that cab to a meeting or what not!
A good litmus test for the VC you're raising from as well, do see how they perceive you taking out a salary. Will give you clarity on who really understands and can be empathetic in the long run.
