Fav design tool in 2024 - Figma vs Sketch vs Adobe XD?
Hey designers! Curious what tools everyone's using these days. Is Figma still king or are Sketch/XD catching up? Any cool new tools worth checking out?
Everywhere I look, people are raving about Figma as the ultimate design tool. I’ve been using Adobe XD for years and recently gave Figma a try to see what the fuss was about. I meannnn.... it's okay? Nothing mind-blowing. I like the collaboration capabilities but yeah, is Figma really that much better, or is it just the trendy choice right now? Am I missing something?
it's the industry standard in most cases for design, hence the popularity. The dev tools are great as well. Last I heard XD was discontinued. But from what I remember, XD had better prototyping capabilities than figma, then again that was years ago!
I am using Sketch. Totally satisfied. Figma has its own pros. But nothing out of the extraordinary. XD is definitely a great choice. Maybe it’s on the use case.

In startup and mid-level companies, single designers often spend more time on developing design systems, exploring Figma's new features, and adapting to its yearly updates rather than focusing on essential tasks.
