Expensive Bangalore?

Today I went to one hospital to do MRI because I was having a pain in naval and stomach area. Hospital is quoting 15k for the scan and additional 2k , totalling to 17k . Bangalore City is this much expensive for the healthcare solutions? Am I robbed here ? Any suggestions welcome.

Every city has reputable charity organisations that help in medical expenses for all categories of people.
I know a few good ones in my city. Even Bangalore should have them. Or go to a govt hospital.

Important question, have you consulted a doctor before getting an MRI, why I feel like you have decided by googling that you need to get the MRI when things could easily be done with just an ultrasound.

Bangalore is certainly very expensive. Most hospitals are built to cater NRI and foreign medical tourism crowd. It is very difficult for middle class indians.

Be careful going to Apollo Clinic

Went there for a fracture, the doctor asked about my company and job . I thought its just normal conversation. Later when I got the bill it was very high, overheard the nurses saying that this amount is too high for the procedure.
