Are airlines not concerned that due to steep rise, certain pockets of consumers will be priced out? Or have they factored in those priced out consumers and realised that they will make more profits from the reduced customer base paying higher price than large customer base paying lower prices?

The prices seem alright to me for the routes I fly. This includes a mix <1 hr to >2 hr flights. It is unrealistic to expect a sub 2k flight for any flight to Northern/Eastern sectors ft bangalore given that the fuel prices are always on the higher side, and are expected to go up again.

Even for budget routes gone are the days of sub 2k domestic flights 🥲
