Does PM burnout stem from a lack of defined completion?

I wanted to ask about something that might be relatable max fellow PMs, especially in tech. So, I've been a PM for about three years now, and I can't help but feel this burnout and dissatisfaction. I talked to my manager and apparently that's pretty common. On paper, our job should be super exciting, right?

I mean, I get to build cool stuff and make an impact daily. It's like that feeling when Steve Jobs said you can poke life and make something happen. But despite all this, burnout is real, and I'm feeling it too mkc.

I think the main issue is that our work never feels completely done. Unlike other fields like engineering or sales where there's a clear end point, in tech it's all about continuous improvement and growth. There's always another sprint, another milestone, or another release. It's like we are always in progress and never really get that moment of closure. I have literally puked from so much pressure.

I am very confused and worry about longevity in this field.
