Do you think Indian food products should have warning labels like in the EU?

So in many European countries, they have this cool system where foods that might be bad for you, like those with artificial dyes, have clear warning labels. They even say stuff like "this can cause hyperactivity or attention issues."

Now, if we had something like that in the India, I bet people would start eating less of these unhealthy foods. It could be better for everyone's health. I also think a 0-10 scale or color-coded system might be easier to understand than a bunch of warnings. This kind of system works pretty well in the EU and UK.

I wonder why our lawmakers are not interested to do this?

Dude, air pollution is such a pressing issue in this country. We aren't even able to prioritize that. You think this even comes close to it?

No one gives a damn, we are all accustomed to chalta hai attitude!

We don't have clean drinking water, clean air, clean streets. Water and air are our fundamentals rights.

We don't even have food and drug safety standards(adulteration, low quality food and drugs passed off to consumers). Here, even if we have labels, its not gonna solve a thing.

What you are saying comes way way later in terms of priority!

Totally agree, this should be labelled in india either through a rating based or colour coding based. Also there is a truthy app or something which was recently shown in Revant’s video as well. You can download that app, and scan any product, which will tell you all the necessary details you want to know. So I guess even if these apps becomes mainstream then a lot of false marketing can be curbed
