AI cannot replace humanity. Human using an AI who wants to control resources, population and day to day things would certainly be a dangerous threat.
Moreover, the kind of approach we are taking towards AI, ML and other things needs to be introspected as well. So much can be put to good use yet everyone acts in desperation, fear and want things to be in their control.
