Discrimination against general category at all-time high

Promotions in government jobs also have reservation so your batchmates becomes your boss in 6 years. My cousin was denied promotion at a PSU due to a reservation union lobbying to grab even more promotions than allocated.

There is no solution in sight for the reservation problem.

General category will be a minority in 5 years and we will not even protest for a seat

MagicalQuokka
MagicalQuokka

Every one is protesting to label their caste as OBC or SC / ST

The only solution is the race to the bottom leading to 100% reservation for all castes.

General category has been a minority since centuries. They form 25% by population, and 90% by income and wealth.

yeah but the general category has 51% reservation

MagicalQuokka

51% is open for everyone

There's a ladder approach. Reserved category can also fill in unreserved seats. It is not necessarily open for only General category

I would even vote for Rahul Gandhi, if he abolishes any kind of caste reservation in each and every field 😑

MagicalQuokka

Bro, he wants to bring in more reservation. Unfortunately even BJP would bring in more reservation if it wins them elections.

All political parties want to make use of reservations for winning elections so this issue is not getting resolved via politics.

How about kejriwal? He is from general

In all private sector, I don't see any sc/st people. Don't tell me general category people are much more competent. Govt jobs constitute less than 3% jobs where reservation exist. 97% jobs in private sector is dominated by general category people. Same is the case for private education vs govt education. GC people don't realise their privileges.

Just as an exercise, try and find 5 SC/ST guy/girl where you work. You will realise the proportions.

I belong to GC and I know its getting bad because we have reached to this point where ppl are having equal oportunities.

But equating this to Jews in Germany is over stretching and disregarding what they went through during the holocaust. It is definitely not the same.

MagicalQuokka
MagicalQuokka

OP didn't equate it to Holocaust but Jews studying in Nazi Germany, if you read carefully.

Here is a history lesson spoken by the Jews themselves: https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/timeline-event/holocaust/1933-1938/law-limits-jews-in-public-schools

Not too different now

Bro the ruling government were against Jews during that time. Are you suggesting our government is against Brahmins

Cause is legit but still can’t logic around that comparison.

The only reason why I didn’t appreared in any competative exams. Those PSC stuffs. I knew I’ll kill it in corporate since it’s merit based, but will fall against these bullshit reservations in other exams.

MagicalQuokka
MagicalQuokka

That is very sad. We need meritorious people working in our government.

In any battle you fight with what you have. GC people have lost the will to fight. They have come to opinion that running away is the only solution. Orone has to fight on the streets and protest to get anything in this country.
The reply to that kid should have been, you read only one book at a time. Read them fully and take notes. If you have access to a computer and internet you don't need any library.

MagicalQuokka
MagicalQuokka

Yes, battle needs to be fought on the street. General category needs to unite otherwise we're screwed

They should implement the Rohini Commission first

Comment deleted because against guidelines, so i will reiterate.

Equating actual Nazi genocide to not being able to buy books on weekends is downright stupid.

While the rules could be changed, they are probably there for a reason. Even today Dalits can't ride a horse or wear a moustache in many parts of India regardless of how much they earn.
