Disappointed with the AWS SageMaker & Agentic AI Event Today

I was genuinely excited to attend today’s AWS event on SageMaker and Agentic AI, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a deeply disappointing experience. • Poor management & communication: The event invitation email never mentioned any mandatory WhatsApp confirmation. Upon arrival, we were informed that only those who received a WhatsApp message could attend — this was never communicated earlier. • Disrespectful experience for attendees: Many attendees, including myself, were turned away at the venue without clear explanation or empathy. It was disorganized and felt disrespectful to the time and effort we invested in attending. • Swag & session mismanagement: Swags and goodies were poorly handled. A large number of attendees, despite registering, left empty-handed. We were told that only those attending the session would receive them — ironic, considering we weren’t allowed to attend due to their own miscommunication.

Such events are meant to inspire and build trust in the tech ecosystem. Sadly, this one did the opposite.

@AWS – We expect better. Clear communication, respectful handling of attendees, and proper event management are basic expectations for a brand of your scale.
