Have people completely stopped relying on just walking up to people / meeting someone in person, asking them out and taking it from there?
It's slow and requires effort but works better. Zero chance of being catfished. You can control the narrative and pace.

The anxiety levels in them are off the roof. Even if you're holding their hands and helping me their wingman. Basic conversational and inter personal skills are lacking these days, and it shows.
It doesn't work even if you ask them not think so much, and just cross the hurdle to get over the fear of rejection. Every wants instant affirmation or immediate validation nowadays.
Wingman as a Service (WaaS) seems like a great startup idea for Bangalore.

I think part of the appeal (regardless of gender) is the multiple connects that can happen on the app. Lulls you into a false sense of being wanted.
It's probably satisfying in the moment. You think you're doing great because there are 17 "connections" and parallel conversations that are loaded with possibilities. In reality you just need the one thats 'real'. The 17 are ephemeral.
