Congress win in Karnatake

With Congress set to topple BJP in Karnataka, what impact do you think ot will have on Bangalore and the startup ecosystem? It is rumoured that some startups have politician money invested in them and their fortunes can go up and down depending on who rules.

Not sure about the startup environment.

But you can kiss Bangalore Metro goodbye.

Congress has repeatedly shown they're not interested in any infrastructure development in any place that is not Delhi.

I don't think so it will happen. If they don't show development, they aren't gonna win any other state

  1. Governance might improve, because of relatively strong leadership (DKS) atleast better than spineless local BJP. This might result in marginal reduction in corruption(Congress is corrupt too, just that it will not be uncontrolled like it was in BJP) Throw it all out if Siddu comes back as CM
  2. Infra development pace might go down, specially due to fights between centre and state (yes namma metro too)
  3. Congress is embedded in Karnataka startup eco system like it or not. Bangalore's IT story was started during congress time and there is a lot of synergy bw IT spokespersons and govt. So IT ecosystem would have a much better say than before.
  4. Appeasement will go up, Congress has no shame & nothing here. They won't even hesitate to bring a 80% reservation nd screw all General merit only candidates.

Congress knows it won bcoz of anti incumbency. Ppl don't care about Bajrangbali, Hijab etc etc. If Congress stalls even 1 project they are done for. BJP will look for a new face - all hounds will be set on Congi leaders . Sting operations, ED etc etc.

I'm more of the opinion.. if the elected people aren't engaged in corruptions and money-laundering stuffs, they have nothing to fear from CBI / ED.

Eventually they will be released by the magistrate if the charges don't hold up.

Congress very well knows that if they don't do development, they would be out of power in next election.

So I'm expecting some change (even though temporary) to address basic issues like traffic, water and electricity.

Depends on who is going to be the CM. If DK Shivkumar becomes the CM, then it may be good for Bangalore and Startups

Only if their were alternatives to this bjp vs congress vs aap shit show.

India's 1.3B+ population seriously needs to grow their conscience and elect a visionary govt like Singapore and Dubai. Modi and most of his cabinet ministers are probably visionary but his core party -the bjp seems to have other priorities.

Also, can someone explain me what happened to Kejriwal after coming to power? Bro was all about solving problems from the core and stuff.. but ended up in the same shit hole like the others. 🐣
