Cisco to lay off 8-10k next week?
Source is someone from Cisco. Can anyone else validate or reject this leak/rumour?
Is it true that CISCO is going to lay off 7% of its employees? Why are there so many layoffs happening in these times? Is technology taking our jobs?
Like many other companies, CISCO has also decided to reduce its workforce. Recently it was announced that CISCO will undergo a restructuring plan and lay off its employees. According to the news, more than 5000 employees will become jobless. This action marks CISCO’s second round of layoffs in 2024 which is a huge setback. Earlier, the company laid off 4000 employees. These layoffs have taken place or will take place because of the shift toward technology. With technology, there’s an increase in production with faster time which made expenses cheaper.

I am really curious why there are so many layoffs in the IT industry. Wherever you see, big companies like CISCO are laying off so many employees. Experts on Grapevine, please explain what is going on.
Cisco recently again did a massive layoff this month in the name of restructuring but very stealthily. They laid off people who were serving Cisco for more than 10-15 yrs. They have downsized a lot of teams and have ramped down a number ...
They had hired great leaders from Google and Swiggy and now this!!!
