Choose between DCT vs CVT vs AT
Given all the variants in the market for both Creta and Seltos, how did you decide which model to choose from. I really don't want to go with the manual when we have all the more comfy options in the market, can you help me decide which one to go with and how you compare them and make an informed decision. I am also not sure whether to go with kia or creta.

DCT, for sure. Videos dekho on how they work. DC T is super elegant in its construction. Earlier only high end luxury cars or sports car had DCT. Till Hyundai decided to put it in a 12L Venue. Then everyone else started to offer it as well. Perhaps some auto components manufacturers cracked the problem of cheaply manufacturing DCT.
I’d suggest:
DCT if you’re an enthusiastic driver and are keeping the car for less than 7 years. When a DCT breaks, you’re looking at a >80k repair.
CVT if it’s a city car and you’re not worried much about resale.
AT if you want a reliable workhorse that doesn’t do anything extraordinary
CVT and TC are more friendly with newbies. DCT needs to be used carefully otherwise they are great.
I see everyone suggesting DCT in comments. I would sincerely insist OP to research a bit, expensive luxury cars have moved / are moving to torque converters because of the PITA the DCT gearboxes are. It's not necessary that something which is more complex to engineer is necessarily a better solution.
Try a XUV 3XO with Toque Converter once. It's smoother than DCT.
I have an i20 Nline DCT, would not pick anything else over it.
