How can i get into the IT industry? Any specific technologies i should learn?

No formal degree, so how did it come to your mind that getting into IT industry will be possible? Did you hear anyone do so, or did you read anywhere that it is very easy to get into IT industry. Just curious. I am not trying to discourage, I am just trying to say that it is not easy anywhere without a formal degree (unless you create something brilliant on your own and leave the world spellbound).
P.S.- Talking of technologies, you can start learning UI technologies first- HTML, JavaScript, ReactJS etc. And after learning you can try to find some freelancing work via several freelancing websites (not that it is easy).
