Career break talk. What’s your take?

Why is the industry so ruthless for people with career break?

Let’s be honest, even people who continue to work in the industry have to upskill during change. Then why is it people with a break face such backlash ?

Anybody can learn anything, if they have prior experience it means they are good in solving problems, even if they have a break.

There are some companies which are ‘progressive’ enough to call back women with career breaks only to offer them compensation of freshers. Isn’t this just hypocritical? They are utilizing the past experience and taking advantage of the break to pay less.

India needs to grow.

+1. People with a break are treated as if the person has failed. The respect is way less than if you were in a continuous job.

Anyways, these same people will learn it the hard way when and if they have to take a break themselves. Respect others to get respected.

Talking break since 1st Feb. I also don't know why HRs run away faster than Ussain bolt when there's a gap in resume.

I hope some HR enlightens.
