when 3 cities in south, 2 in west, have to provide job to whole of north india, it will obviously become jamluru.

But look at the bright side, AQI is 67, delhi, noida, Gurgoan has not seen this AQI since battle of panipat.

If you are stuck in Bangalore doesn't mean you can justify your incapability.

This issue is driving top talent away from Bangalore, threatening to erode the city's status as a premier tech hub. If left unaddressed, Bangalore risks following the same trajectory as Kolkata.

i hope

really, a few traffic jams and BLR is the next kolkata. Where will people go? to Bihar? 70 yrs after independence the election agenda is still the treat of jungle raj. No jobs, no development. Its jungle raj.

The fall of tech jobs will have more to do with india loosing its "low cost" status than to do with Infra or traffic jams.

Ps: comparing BLR to Kolkata? Really?

Karnataka politicians buried their heads in ground when Mumbai and Chennai were going rapid urbanisation in 80s/90s and couldn't learn from their failures.

FuzzyWaffle

they still haven't learned

It would interest you to know that neither have the politicians from the mentioned places learnt a single thing out of their own mistakes. And in the shadow of wanting to build another tech city there are many few others who are also on the verge of reducing their natural ecosystems. So if we are naming places why not name them too?

Bangalore traffic is totally out of control these days. It's not just annoying anymore , it's a serious waste of time, fuel, and peace of mind.

Why can't companies and the government make WFH or hybrid work mandatory wherever possible?

The city's roads clearly aren’t built to handle this crowd. Instead of forcing everyone back to office, we should be thinking long-term , reduce traffic, cut pollution, and improve quality of life.

Honestly, it’s frustrating to see how such a simple and logical decision is ignored. Not everything needs to be a political move , some things just need common sense."

DerpyDumpling

True... We all did WFH without any issue for more than 2 years. I don't understand what is the use of 5 days WFO policy

Great suggestion. Why not write a letter to the mayor ?

There’s this YT channel “BengaWalk”. They make amazing videos talking about BLR’s infra issues in depth

Make it scamluru

I did not expect the reaction on ‘jamluru’ this post got Now you want me to try this word? I am not willing to take that risk

If renaming cities is the agenda, why not rename the other cities too. Let’s start with the city that is competing with the candidate here to get a tech city badge and advertising the negatives not only on social media but now on grapevine too (through people like the Sir who decided to name-shame/slam places to begin with). Or shall we start with the city that has no air to breathe to begin with? No agenda involved here, right Sir?

CosmicCoconut

Dude why getting offended he just highlighted the issue here in bangalore due to bad infra delhi has great infra compared to bangalore more cars leads to bad air soon Bangalore will have that issue, but i dont think bangalore will improve their infra and just work on banning bringing silly laws like banning bike taxis and localites harassing outsiders to speak kannada.

JazzyPotato
JazzyPotato

@TepidKick70 with “..to get a tech city badge” you mean Hyd? It becomes Traffic-a-bad many a times. Blr is consistent though(for various reasons) And what do you mean by “city that has no air to breathe”? What place are you talking about

Metro expansion should speed up, it's been more than 10 years since work is ongoing on Bannerghatta road. Roads need to be widened. Canals need to be widened. Old spots like jayanagar and jp nagar should not be touched though

JazzyPotato
JazzyPotato

Amidst the could/would/should’ve been, we’ll be long gone. Never to have actually experienced the change we wished to see.
