Same thing I read about a company which made absolutely long lasting products but their sales were not going up as the product lasts years and years altogether so they started making product which were of same standard but after 2-3 years you’ll need a new one.

Efficacy reduces, generally its safe to eat by exp date.
What I had heard from someone who used to work in a medical shop, the expired medicine can be consumed, but the effect of it is slow.
