Haan but kitna hi kar loge. There's a lot more to life. Building stuff is the ultimate game.

Don't you think this 'kitna h kar loge' is wrong to assume ?

For example: Look at Red bull, they created every type of adventure sport from a regular sport.

Everything can evolve if you have the patience and passion to give it the time.

A hobby isn't meant to be a pipeline for some thing else. It's meant to give you happiness at that moment. Enjoy, just to enjoy, not because it pays. You have profession for that.

Professions used to be about building stuff, now most of them involve you sitting at your computer all day

You can consume all you want, but it won't help you fill the productive/creative void. Every few weeks on gv you'll see people talking about feeling empty and meaningless with their life, that is exactly why it is happening.

Seems you have cracked the cure to mental health issues people are facing by generalising it.
I disagree.

I think the problem is people choosing a hobby to "find God". Simply do what you like. I love watching obscure cricket matches of random countries even clubs. And I really enjoy it. Hardly costs me 30₹ a month for the YouTube premium. But gets me through the day. On weekends I participate in quizzes, umpire in the socities kids cricket match, sometimes play in the adult ones. Now I am trying to get into reading. All of these because I want to just see my time being utilised and passed without scrolling through the doom. Some of my friends started a hobby of coffee roasting. Now that set up is just doing the job of getting him coffee every morning. Just do what you like and don't expect to get anything in return.

I'd suggest thinking of it in terms of production and consumption. Many people would benefit from occasional production (apart from job) in personal life, that's all there is to it. Could be hobbies, community, experiences, many things.

Nothing wrong with occasional guilty pleasures.
