Bihar has 100x population of Goa yet contribute just 2x in Direct tax. 300 years ago, Calcutta was best city of the world (yes you read it right) and today East India is having sub Saharan indices. How long will this sustain ?

When yogi Adityanath became CM of UP i did not like it one bit. But the way he is handling UP, i think Bihar needs its own Baba.

What you are missing is that states like Bihar have a population working in other states contributing to those state GDP and taxes. Also states which contribute in a huge chunk of GDP have industries selling their product and services throughout India without any interstate import restrictions. If taxes will be attributed according to the state of consumer the picture will be totally different.

Maharashtra straight up dominating. Maybe 20yrs from now, gujarat would take over mhs place

There is a reason it has Maha in the name.

Bihar is definitely not for beginners

No one mention how Bihar is 50x size of Goa

So that makes people less productive?

Kudos to UP though, finally on right track. Bihar will be Bihar.

It'll sustain as long as the political party keep playing vote bank politics.

Will continue till people don't vote for SOPs than development.

Certain eastern isde states are gone cases. They cannot be improved any more. How many big industries actually invest in Bihar, certain places of UP, Bengal, or Kerala?. Their business model is export of man power.
Many have seen those billion dollar MOU's signed during those trade promotions how many have them have materialized?.

This is really sad. East India is going down the drain
