
Big 4 IB wars. What should I do?
Hi guys. I am working in a front end IB role with KPMG. There is a lot of movement going on here among BIG4s in terms of people poaching. One of the other Big 4 is poaching our 10-15 partners and ~130 professionals. My team partner has communicated to us that he has made his decision to move. Now he is having a one-on-one conversation with all of us regarding the terms and conditions.
My questions to all of you is:
- What options do I have?
- What monetary benefits can I expect and how much should I ask for?
- If I say no to moving, can KPMG ask me to leave the job since my team has left?

And no, KPMG won’t ask you to leave. They simply cannot - you joined the firm, not a team. Even if the entire team leaves and you’re left alone, they can’t ask you to leave.
All things said and done, no harm in moving to Deloitte. It’s a good place to be.
