Bangalore landlords are the real HR

Spent my entire Sunday morning giving an interview for a 2BHK and it was harder than my last technical round.. The uncle reviewed my payslips nodded, and then deadass asked to see my food delivery app history to verify if I order non veg late at night. He even asked if my current project has a high attrition rate because he only wants tenants with stable work dynamics. I swear next time I go house hunting I am just taking my manager along to give a character certificate.

The food delivery app check is BS... Utter nonsense. But the stable work is reasonable. Why? Because even if the house was painted just 2 months ago. The next tenant will demand the whole house to be repainted. One might say what's wrong when the owners deduct money from advance. When the person vacates within a couple of months. The tenants demand pro rata basis deduction.

The whole system is a feedback loop. Unreasonable demands from tenants are driving the nonsensical behaviour from owners, which in turn is driving the nawabi behaviour of tenants.

Glad, he didn't restricted Non Veg, and he want to sleep peacefully at night without the delivery guy entering the premises, that may be a security concern for him as well.
