Appraisal meeting tips

Hello all,

I have been working as a frontend developer on a contract basis in one of the #maang, my toatal experience is 2 years and my appraisal is due this week, I have been working on some really good projects handling all at once and working from scratch in one of the projects, I want that my increment to be very nice, as my current package is very low. I need some tips for the negotiations........provide some good tips for that.

Most of the conversation will be driven by the manager only.

One thing I suggest is to create a brag document( document with details of all the projects/tickets/issues you have worked on). It should have : problem statement, your approach, impact.

Maybe 3-4 good projects should be fine.

Also include a personal development section in it: certifications/ courses you have done, webinars/talks/meets you have attended.

This may help you get your expected hike if manager gives you less than expected.
