I think it needs >5 years for solid Use Case and User experience

Strongly agree. While developers would start targeting for more headsets, it would take time for a community and quality integrations to come out.

Would ppl really wear a headset for a 2hr movie or a video call? I get there are niche use cases for VR like visualising 3d models, but for consumer side I only see vr as a gaming thing with small target audience where psvr2 has em beat ...
Hell yeah! 🤩 I can immerse myself in the movie and pretend I'm part of it. I have heard it can resize up to 100 ft. Just imagine watching Universe-related documentaries with a custom environment background and also Anime. 😍
One would get tired in 20-30 mins , weight of the headset & the sweat buildup
Since Apple dominates the trend. A lot of other companies will start to offer their version of MR. Maybe Xiaomi, Microsoft, or Samsung. Meta will definitely make some changes to their next-gen product. The possibility of Vision Pro's success is a lot more since Apple controls the hardware and software, and it will combine the entire Apple ecosystem which competitors can't offer. Maybe in the future, we will see a less expensive version of Vision Pro. I'm pretty excited about it. 😁
Microsoft has Hololens since long. But they never quite unleashed the product. If there’s any company that can rival Apple in this category is Microsoft because they already have a market ready product
Oh, I forgot about the Hololens. Yea, they are capable, but I don't what are their plans and vision. A long time back I used to play interactive games on Xbox 360 Kinect. It was fun.
It doesn't solve any problem but just like any other apple product, people will buy it so...
People are saying it's costly. In my opinion, the tech they've put in it is worth more bucks.
A solution looking for a problem. I wouldn't listen to any fkn tech YouTuber since all of them would be paid by Apple.
Hardcore Apple Stans will buy it and surely promote it. I'm not an apple guy and would not be keen to wear such a device on a regular basis around the house . but I can see it as a weekend novelty or an experimental entertainment item, but then the cost must be justified.
Even Apple stans don't have money to buy it just for content consumption
