Any soft learnings from 2025?

Anything great you have learnt may be by failure, defeat or circumstances in 2025 and you would like to share with others. I'd be happy to hear that out and keep with me.

My soft learnings:

  1. I used to be impulsive who gets triggered by a small small nudges but as a fix, I observed my teammates because they are the ones with whom I had spent majority of my time, they are like super calm and context-aware.. I used to be a bit casual like whatever emotions I'm going through that comes on my face but I learnt that no matter what.. just put a child ish smile and have a positive attitude towards life and work instead of being sad and complain-ish.

And the most important understand what to ignore.

  1. Keep your ego in your pocket.

  2. Don't feel bad by looking at LinkedIn etc that xyz people switched to xyz orgs.. sometimes it used to demotivate to such an extent where you don't even feel like doing anything for some days.. but nah.. take it as a contest and try to feel happy about them. Rejections mean a step closer to your thing.

  3. Don't love all just stay connected and vigilant. It hurts otherwise.

Exceptions to parents, siblings and those who stood by you in situations not the sweet talkers.

2025 has been an emotional rollercoaster for me—from getting married to navigating a phase of being “jobless” (though I’ve been freelancing throughout).

A few lessons I’ve learned along the way:

  1. You are responsible for your own fate.

  2. Most battles are inside your head—others won’t understand your thoughts the way you do. Accept it, deal with it, and move forward.

  3. There are endless possibilities around you

  4. In the end, the people who truly care about you will stay—no matter what.

My learnings:

  1. Don't take office connections as friendship. Just be casual with everyone as that won’t hurt you

  2. Don't expect the other person to have the same feelings for u as u have for them

  3. Keep yourself first. Then comes other things in life.

  4. Always work for self improvement and upskill yourself continously even though people around u are mediocre.

  5. Always crave for more visibility in office. It helps in ratings and people acknowledge your hardwork.

  6. Self talk is very important. Don't say negative about yourself. As you think so shall u become.

Always always give priority to urself, not ur work, not ur company, not to teammates, not to frnds.... keep urself first. As an empath we keep ourselves last and no one will stand for u for come to u but u urself. So take risk and do whatever makes u happy.

P.S.: Also learned every urgency in the company/ by manager is a fake urgency. Just ignore it and do ur work without compromising on ur health and sleep.

My biggest learning in 2025 : People around you will change the narrative based on their convenience, so it's rather important to stick to yours
