AI for mobile native vs web

Folks, as a native Android developer from Razorpay with decent knowledge in React, I’ve noticed that ChatGPT and other LLMs, along with tools like Cursor, work quite well and produce accurate results for React or web projects. However, their accuracy is significantly lower for native Android development, even when proper context and prompts are provided.

I’ve heard the same from iOS developers as well. Despite this, companies and engineering managers are pushing us to complete Android projects faster using AI tools.

Is AI really effective for complex Android projects, or am I missing something?

Not always 100% accurate specially for Android development, I also face this issue a lot

It won’t give 100% results always but it’s failing at trivial things in maybe where it is not in web

Yeah, but it should not mean we should change our tech stack 😅

Shit for iOS. Apple docs are shitty so what are they even training it on? Not a lot of crazy bloggers out there either.

For us, I feel its more or less trial and error with AI. Jitni der mei context samajhta usse tej toh mai hi figure out karleta hu.

Maybe decent for scaffolding my manual work required for custom functionality
