Started making >24LPA as a corporate lawyer working at a Tier I law firm after 2 years. It was actually a lot more than startups because your effective tax rate comes to around 10% as you are paid as a contractor.
I use annual figures because 35% of total pay is cash based bonus. I got full bonus for the time I was at a Tier I not sure what the situation is now.

@Daroga420 Never expected that a corporate lawyer could make that much money. Anyways, what was your age when you started earning > 24 LPA? Also, can you please mention the firm’s name.

I was at AZB.
I joined straight out of law school was 22 when I started working.
The thing is you start at 15-16 LPA at top firms and if you are in a team which generates a lot of revenue then you can expect 25-30% increment annually and it sort of tapers at 80-1.2 Cr after 7-10 years, after which there’s not much growth unless you start generating business. There are some top firms who don’t pay as much like the Amarchands. AZB, Trilegal and JSA and even some boutique firms (Tech Law) can pay even more than this if you’re good.
If you can bring your own clients you can make a lot more but you are running your business at that time and you get a part of the profit you generate.
It’s a very shit lifestyle and no work life balance, and sort of a highly paid waiter who pushes papers to get things done. So it’s a service sector type job with high pay and extremely demanding clients and a lot of firm politics and unnecessary ass kissing. You are basically paid because you will pick up a call from a client on Friday evening work through the weekend and deliver a good quality work product on Monday.

22, working as AGM, applications development

Oh, ok! Which Company? @JoyousCast49

Medicover

Founded my first startup in logistics at 21, got seed funding a year later and making 3LPM since then. I don't have a solid product and I intend to shut it down soon when funding dries up. I have only worked with interns from tier 2/3 colleges.

Good Journey so far. Keep going @GrimBeard75
