Intern with 45k stipend living since 9 months here, can answer this better.

PG rent for 2bed: 8k/mo
3bed: 6.5k/mo
This depends on the area you live in. Whitefield rents are less as there are many PGs here. Rent in Marathahalli/Mahadevpura/Koramangla/Indiranagar/HSR touch 12-14k/mo for 2 bed. 2k more for girls.

Here's a golden tip: make sure your PG is within 1-2kms of office. Mine is 400m. Why? No tension of booking an auto/bike taxi, all 22 working days in a month you commute for free, don't have to worry about sun/rain/bad weather as you can just zip to office, you can get up as late as you want and still be sure that you'll be in office in 10mins as you don't have to worry about Uber cancelling on you.

My 3 times food is covered by office for free (bf + lunch + snacks). Dinner is at PG. 6 days veg and 1 day non veg. Place i live has plenty of street food shops so can eat out easily for cheap. You will find some good tiffin shops in every locality of blr where you will get good healty and tasty food for cheap, but you'll have to search for it and ask people around for such places, as they're a bit hard to find.

I spend close to 5k per month (apart from 8k rent) and live a luxury life. By luxury, i mean ordering good food from swiggy zomato on weekends, casual shopping for clothes and stuff, auto and rapido etc, and everything else etc. This may vary person to person as I come from a middle class family and I'm extremely good at managing my finances (read i dont really waste money on useless shit).

Hmu if you have more questions. Also, Welcome to Bangalore, you're gonna hate it 👍

Why hate? I can think of Traffic, high cost of living, 6-month rainy season, abysmal infrastructure, bad waste management... anything else?

Stay in HSR itself. You will get loads of 1bhk at 12-15k rent. Or look for PG in HSR. At least cost of commute will be saved

I stayed at FF21 for my first six months in Bangalore. They have a few good twin-sharing packages that might suit your needs.
