To be honest. Byju's product was good. It's the VCs who are at fault. They kept pumping money and when during covid there were good sales, everyone valued them as a decacorn (India's first!)
Byju Raveendran was a great teacher, with good purpose. This is reflection of what VCs do

Its easiest to blame VC and idolize the entrepreneur THeir sales team would berate dads in front of their kid: "Kaise baap ho aap, apne bacche ki chinta nahi hai?" This is widely known in Edtech
Then, they would without their knowledge sell them an EMI product. Mind you, these are lower middle income parents, who are often not as educated.
They just wanted to see their kids to better. Byju's lapped them into its scam like a kid to a lollipop. Sure, they had targets because they were VC backed. But that's when a founders principles come into the picture!!

Such nonsense.
'they kept pumping money' hence it's their fault. The rot who took that money is still saint🤦.
How many times have we seen the toxicity Byjus was brewing in the society.. They mercilessly use kid's future, play with it, create fomo, and loot from parents. It was clearly becoming a cancer.
And not just these companies. The actors who acted in their Ads, yes including ur SRK has to have some shyt shame when using kids like that.

Insert meme: <sister's wedding vs Byju's downfall>

Don't ever forget this. Just 1 year ago. Peak arrogance. Tried to clarify everything: the mis-selling, the financial grey areas.
Now it's all clear, and it's out.

I am just waiting for it to shut shop. Nothing would be better than those parents they cheated and for the Indian Startup ecosystem as a whole

When Karma hits hard. Have seen few of my friends suffering in early days. Both of the founders had that coming

How’s the valuation of shares $120 million? Shouldn’t it be $120k?

Why do people still discuss Byjus? I thought this news was already done and dusted

That much is also too much

Mostly by the 2nd week of June... But don't be very hopeful, as it would be 1-2%, depending upon your salary.
